OC Brew HaHa Festival 2016- Our official review

Brew HaHa was the perfect festie to grab a cold one with friends on a hot day in Southern California! Located in Silverado at the beautiful Oak Canyon Park on the 24th of September the live music, awesome vendors, and incredible beer left us never wanting to leave! With a whopping 250 different beers from over 90 different breweries it was hard not to want to try them all over and over again.

Once you entered the festival you were given a glass (yes, you read correctly-glass) cup for all your tastings because we all know beer tastes much better from a glass cup rather than plastic. All the breweries definitely brought their A game, with a plethora of unique flavors. With the festival being at the beginning of fall there were pumpkin beers galore, which made welcoming fall a little easier. From peanut butter beer to coffee stouts or even different flavored sours you can find it here.  One of our favorites was a watermelon beer by Lost Coast perfect for kissing summer goodbye!

There were some big names at this festie, such as Ballast Point, Goose Island, Hangar24, and Sierra Nevada. However, don’t let those big names fool you, the local breweries from right in our backyard like Last Name Brewing in Upland, Chapman Crafted Beer from Orange County, and Main Street Brewery from Corona definitely drew in the crowd. Of course all the breweries, local & big name left us nothing short of satisfied and wanting more. Something very unique in the cider area was a healthy selection of alcoholic beverages which consisted of vegan and organic ciders, and even a probiotic cider. With all diet restrictions catered too you can still be healthy & have a good time with all your friends.

Aside from all the beer, there were also some great food vendors and trucks along side gourmet hot sauce vendors. Free samples and large bites from the trucks were more than enough to keep us fueled for the day. Some other things that made this event stand out was that they had misters, fans, tables in the shade for you to cool off as well as free ice cold water & soda! Often events will neglect these crucial parts for surviving a hot California summer day. We applaud Brew HaHa for thinking making sure all patrons were well hydrated and cool all day long. While walking from brewery to brewery there were life size board games scattered throughout the festival to play which is a great way to have some fun & meet new friends! A life sized inflated
human foosball immediately grabbed our attention and before we knew it a game was underway. Next up was giant Jenga followed by battleship and more! Brew HaHa definitely had their festival-goers occupied and happy with music from the live band flowing all day.

Whether you were a drinker or a DD they had you covered. They offered discounted tickets to all DD’s, a free shuttle to the Tustin Metro Station, and Uber & Lyft pick up. Drank too much and can’t drive home? Don’t sweat it, Brew HaHa allows you to leave your car overnight as long as you picked it up by 10 A.M Sunday morning. It was nice to be in a place where you felt safe knowing that they were so organized & professional. Thank you Brew HaHa for the perfect fun filled day & all the memories that came with it!
