Kaaboo 2016- A Huge Hit!

If you are looking for the best event in Southern California,  KAABOO is it! Located in beautiful Del Mar the venue is perfectly set over looking the beach. With a wide variety of music, comedy, and delicious gourmet food you were sure to have a great time throughout all three 3 days of the festival. Musicians ranged from Areosmith, Hall & Oats, Jimmy Buffet, Fall Out Boy, and The Chainsmokers! The difference in genres made this festival great for all ages with plenty for both young and old.

Our weekend  started off with an acoustic set by Citizens Cope. The sound was perfectly oozing out of the tent next to the humor stage. With TV screens around the stage, there was always somewhere to watch him perform if you were needing a close up.  We were able to catch some other great artists like Fallout Boy, Echosmith, and the famous Hall & Oats. The Humor Me stage was also a favorite of ours. The ability to cool down and relax while enjoying world class comedians was unlike any other festival in Southern California.14352522_995932293852818_612282413493600924_o

Day two set off and we were counting down the minutes until Aerosmith was on. Excited to finally hear the songs we all grew up listening to! It was one of the greatest things to look around as Steven Tyler was singing “Dream On” & see everyone around you singing with their Festie Besties! I must say, Areosmith was probably the one of the best things about KAABOO. Nothing can compare to that set. We were also able to make it to the end of The Chainsmokers and hear the crowd go wild as they played their newest hit “Closer”.

Aside from all the amazing music, comedy, and food, some of the best talent was in the art. KAABOO is known for its amazing art and they brought the best artists this year! Each art piece is so unique and just draws you in, leaving you wanting more. Its incredible watching the live art pieces come to life!

The layout at KAABOO was different than their previous year in 2015 when the festival first began. This year they had each stage more spread out leaving long walks between each stage and awkward funneling while leaving some stages. This left some festival goers visibly upset however, the staff was very calm and helpful to control the flow of traffic inside the venue.

Overall vibe at KAABOO was very positive with every festival goer & staff member wearing  smiles on their faces the entire time! Everyone we came across had nothing but great positive things to say about KAABOO & their experience. Bring on 2017!
