BrewHaha and KLOS Radio hosted the sold out Sabroso Fest

BrewHaha and KLOS Radio hosted the sold out Sabroso Fest featuring craft beer, gourmet tacos and live music this past weekend at Doheny State Beach. The beach was absolutely packed; each vendor had a line to try either their beer or tacos. Most of the beer vendors were placed directly on the sand, just a step away from the ocean.

The beach hosted four large canopies serving ice cold specialty brews. Other canopies were placed next to the concert stage in the shade on the grassy park. It seems as if the clouds faded away and the skies cleared once the gates were open to the crowd… then it was a mad rush to the beer tasting area. All attendees could fill their tasting glasses with samples from Ballast Point, Left Coast, Hangar 24, Belching Beaver, and Bootleggers (to name a few of the many). Free tastings were from the opening time to 4:00pm, which allowed for ample time try specialty beers that were calling your name. There were IPAs, sours, ciders, stouts, and more equating to easily over 150 beers to chose from!

Sabroso is so unique because it combines a food and beer festival with a music festival! Attendees could catch performances by Metalachi, Unwritten Law, LIT, Rival Sons, Sum 41 and The Offspring. In between sets, Lucha Libre wrestling matches were held in the ring on the opposite side of the stage in the sand. Sum 41 and The Offspring did not disappoint and brought all the day drinkers back to life playing their hits from the 90’s and early 2000’s. Along with everything else this festival had to offer, Gringo Bandito and Chronic Tacos held their Taco eating challenge and one of the contestants was the one and only Kobayashi to defend his title. Kobayashi ate tacos like no one has ever eaten them before, with over 150+ eaten in 10 minutes. The crowd was super enthusiastic during this challenge, it was an awesome sight to see.

A special shout out to BrewHaha for hosting another amazing event. There were shuttles to transport you to and from the event or just exit the festival and grab an Uber/Lyft/taxi in no time. There is always an easy and responsible way to attend their events.
